FVIDK - Production Version To Be Costed

Hi,

 

I am getting check table error when i try to model FVIDK(MARC) filed however FVIDK field doesnt have any check table. Can somebody provide inputs ?

 

Data model MM, entity type MARCCSTNG, attribute ZZAFVIDK: Invalid check table

Message no. USMD1079

Diagnosis

There is an attribute with a data element assigned that refers to a check table.

Besides the client, the check table can only have one key field that corresponds to the attribute.

System Response

The data model cannot be saved or activated.

Question on Data Import Feature of MDG

Hi Experts,

 

I have few question on MDG Data Import Feature, as below:

 

1. Is it possible to perform Mass load of Business Partner in MDG, Automatically. If Yes, then How it can be done. Please consider that we have some Custom attributes too in Business partner.

 

2. During Mass load, Business want MDG System to perform duplication check automatically by comparing records from file with what in MDG. If there are duplicate records then ignore those from import, else import in MDG.

 

I found some documents on "File upload", and "Import Master Data" for point no 1, but got other questions like:

 

1. As per my understanding using file upload, only one Entity can be imported at a time. if we want to load multiple entities in one shot, then file upload will not work. Please confirm is this correct.

 

2. For 'Import Master Data' using Data import framework, is it possible to import business partners with custom attributes. If yes, then how it can be achieved.

 

3. For 'Import Master Data' using Data import framework, is it possible to load from both IDoc XML format and ESO (standard ES format) or which format is supported.

 

All help is appreciated for above questions.

Master Data Governance - Mass Change for Customer/Supplier Company Code Data

MDG Experts,

 

All the documents/blogs only talk about mass change for fields like Search Term/ First Name (Basically fields that are common between Business Partner  & Customer/Vendor). Is there a way to do a mass update on Company Code data for a Vendor or Customer, for ex: Sort Key.

 

Any references or guidelines will be greatly appreciated. Please help.

If an enterprise was using SAP MDM and it has there configurations, workflows, data models,forms, ... etc and it is planning to implement MDG 7.0 soon. How can it benefit from the earlier implementation of MDM ? Technically, what parts,objects can be migrated from MDM to MDG ?

MDG Experts, I am looking for guidance on synchronizing configuration and customizing data between ECC and an MDG-Hub. I reviewed documentation on (a) synchronizing via BC set import and (b) via TMS although I was looking for a little bit more detail and steps involved in setting up ongoing synchronization between ECC and an MDG-Hub.

 

I am looking for experiences and suggestions on this topic. Thanks in advance.

Direct Customer and Vendor Creation

Cost Center Hierachy is not part of the standard hierarchy

Hi All,

 

I am new to MDG F 7.0. I created new Edition,Cost center,Cost Center Grp, Cost Center hierarchy using single processing using new edition created.

 

I also created new CR Create Hierarchy change request for cost center group and added the above created CC,CCG, CCH.

 

When I try to create hierachy and save using Process hierachy for cost center group option, I am getting the following error.

MDGM - Dynamic number of parallel workflow tasks

Hi Experts!

 

I have seen this document that explains how to configure the MDGM Worflow with parallel workflow tasks.

 

Set up Parallel Workflow Tasks with BRF+ (BADI USMD_SSW_PARA_RESULT_HANDLER)

 

But I have to know at design time the number of possible parallel tasks. Is it possible to determine this number of parallel tasks at execution time?  We need it to create a parallel task for each sales channel or plant added to the material.

Adding fields to an existing UI requires access key

Hi Experts,

 

We upgraded from MDG 6.1 to MDG 7 SP.2 and I am aware that we should not copy UI's but we are not able to add anything to existing UI's without an access key. Is this the standard behavior? When we want to change existing UI's we are asked for an access key.

 

Something simple like adding one existing field to a UI requires an access key. Example in the document http://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/scn/go/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/20686811-1837-3110-b185-ef53a648f961?QuickLink=index&…

 

The document indicates that

 

New fields can be added to an existing UIBB by customizing the same. The example adds the Joint Venture Accounting fields to the SAP form UIBB for

Cost Center Indicators (MDGF_0G_CCTR_INDICATOR).

 

When we start the web dynpro component customizing

Component Name = FPM_FORM_UIBB_GL2 and

Configuration ID = MDGF_0G_CCTR_INDICATOR

 

We cannot create New or copy and either going into change or selecting other functions forces an access key.

Can this behavior be changed or should we log a Sap call for this?

UI configuration in SAP MDG 7.0 for Financial

Hello all

 

Now I'm working in sap MDG 7.0 SP2 for Financial. I want to create UI configuration based on change request step.

I copied standard ui configuration for Cost center MDGF_0G_OVP_CCTR into Z configuration. I also configured Properties of change request step

and link logical action, but when I create cost center, my change request form is missing.

 

Please help to find out,maybe I missed some step...

BRF+ is not working for MDG-F

Hi Experts

 

I selected rule based workflow template for OG_0001 CR type ( Creation of GL account).

It seems workflow is not triggered as there is error for one work item: Check If Single Agent-Group Processing 

Error in getting proper agent group; no agent group found (Message no. USMD5_SSW013).

 

I goggled the error and as per it I reactivated all three decision tables in BRF+.

Also I configure the workflow task for component CA-MDG-AF and CA-MDG-FIN.

Still issue continued.

Can any one throw some high light and fix the issue?

SLD registration MDM 7.1 SP10 variable values missing

Dear guys,

 

we are using MDM 7.1 SP10, which was updated from SP05.

Now we want to integrate it using SAP PI and therefore use the new available SLD registration to get the system available in the local SLD of the PI System, release 7.31 SP08.

 

Following the How To guide, which is mentioned in SAP help and Installation guide, we used SAPinst for SLD registration.

The Servers are visible in the SLD afterwards, but unfortunately some entries e.g. Type MDM Syndication Server contains variable names instead of the real values of this server e.g. name = ${SID} on ${MDSS_ComputerName} (${MDSS_InstanceNumber})

 

In the according MDSS_SLD.properties file in directory ..\usr\sap\<SID>\MDSS02\work the variable are defined correctly. This file have been created by SAPinst. Obviously this file is not used correctly by the publish programm in the file sld.log also the the variable names instead of the real values are visible.

 

Does anyone faced this issue before or have a hint what to check to get the real values populated in the SLD.

 

By the way for type BC Control Instance the correct values are provided in the SLD

MDG-M: Error message - CR was not passed as a Parameter

Hi MDG Experts

 

In the MDG-M scenario, after the CR is created and successfully submitted by the Requestor (e.g; Create / Change a Material), when trying to display this CR in the "Display Change Request" menu option, i get the error message - "Change Request was not passed as a Parameter" after i click on the "Workflow Log" push button.

 

Additionally, the details of this CR are not being displayed in the window "MDG-M UI (Entry Point), when double-clicking the CR number in the "Display Change Requests" window

 

Any ideas why this is happening and how to resolve this issue ?
